What?
We will be broadcasting a 3 hour long benefit show with a live co-host. Performances will include but not be limited to: music, poetry, and speakers. We’ve partnered with celebrities and organizations across the nation that are aligned with us in our goals to get out the vote and make an impact on environmental racism. Featuring some of our most beloved figures and brightest minds performing and speaking, the show will also amplify the voices of grassroots and youth activists. By setting an enjoyable, uplifting, educational, and empowering tone, the event will generate a positive, unifying impact on the national political landscape. Throughout our 3 hour benefit show, there will be calls to action and resources for people to act now.
Who?
A BIPOC-led (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) team of activists, performers and event producers such as E2K have joined together to produce a star-studded benefit show and day of activation. Our benefit show is a fundraiser for organizations, projects, and grassroots initiatives working on racial & environmental justice. This website will be a portal for audience to donate to organizations, stay engaged, and to learn how to launch their own projects.
When?
On October 10th on (insert platforms here) --- this can be added later when it’s more definite.
Why?
Our goal is to increase public understanding of the disproportionate impact of environmental issues, economic instability, and public health issues on communities of color. We want to empower people to make change in regards to racial & environmental justice at local and national levels. By offering them hope and pride, we can make the change we want to see in the world.
